Magic Wand Project

About Us

Elizabeth Surerus
The Magic Wand Project was founded in 2001 by Elizabeth Surerus & later joined by Lesley Butterfield and her many skills who recognized the need for affordable graduation attire in Victoria. What started as a small initiative has grown into a community-driven organization that has helped over 1600 students attend their ceremonies in style for the past 23 years.

We believe every student should celebrate their achievements in style, regardless of their financial situation. Our mission is to bridge the gap between affordability and style, ensuring that ALL STUDENTS can attend their graduation ceremonies with confidence and pride.

Our diverse selection of over 100 dresses and over 40 tuxedos and suits ensures that every student finds the perfect outfit for their special day. We take pride in empowering students to celebrate their achievements with confidence and dignity.

In Loving Memory of Lesley Butterfield

Rarely does one person touch the lives of so many, leaving enduring friendships and fond memories. Lesley gave selflessly, comforted ceaselessly, smiled continually, and loved boundlessly. Volunteering herself tirelessly, while contributing immeasurably she bequeathed a legacy of care and compassion.
